Hello my fellow fashionistas! It has been a minute since I have posted and I will like to apologize for keeping you waiting. I am going to start posting more frequently so be on a lookout for 3-4 posts a week. I am super excited to show you guys what I have in store for you next month. I will talk more details later this month.
This past month has been very difficult, my hours were cut short at my job, struggling to pay my bills on time, ended a long relationship with my boyfriend, lost a best friend, and lost myself along the way. I had so much personal issues going on I lost focus of my business and started aiming to make others happy and doing things that they wanted to do. I also stopped reading my Bible (I know my last blog post stated I got closer with God) and stopped praying everyday. I allowed the devil to take control of my life, now I gaining it back. I realize how messed up I really was and never realize I was holding myself back from succeeding. This has been one of the worst times of my life (and there are plenty more). I just realized I needed to get my life back on track and know my purpose that God has for me. It was so easy to get caught up and lose focus. I thought I was happy doing those things until I come home alone and lying in my bed crying because I am stuck and not sure what to do. I have learned to not put my trust in people and to keep things about others to myself. I have learned that things happen when you least expect it and that you lose people who care about. I would love to take back the things I have done, but all I can do is pray and put it in God's hands. I am thankful to know I have God on myself to get through all my triumphs. This is only a test and I have faith everything will get better soon.
For today's look, of course I'm wearing one of favorite on trend yet classic ensembles. Yes you guessed it, "Denim on Denim." This is my favorite go to casual look no matter what the occasion maybe. You can never go wrong with this particular look. This look can be both dressed up and down. This is look you can wear during work or date night. You can wear it in different ways, whether is lighter or darker denim pieces, denim jacket and jeans, or denim top and jeans. This look is effortless and timeless, their is not a right or wrong way to wear it. For my look, I decided to wear a denim cropped vest, denim button down top and mom jeans (DIY). I added my own unique twist by accessorizing with my favorite thrifted black choker and long necklace and or course my favorite blue sunglasses. This look is very comfortable but also chic at the same time. If you own any denim pieces, try styling your next look with the denim on denim trend and trust you will definitely turn heads.
