"DENIM AFFAIR"

Sarah Neely

Hello Born Freely's fashionista!  This weekend was pretty hectic.  I had a blow out and was not able to attend a networking event in Atlanta.  It rained continuously and it was cold.  Despite the minor issues, I was able to overcome each obstacle because I wasn't going to allow the devil to control that situation.  I went and did a little retail therapy at my favorite stores in my town which of course is the thrift store and a consignment shop.  I found a few items which I fell in love with.  I also did a little DIY project this weekend.  I made a leather clutch in which is not finish because I purchased the wrong zipper.  So now I have to add the zipper and then my leather clutch will be complete.  I cant wait for you guys to see this creation and hopefully you will be able to purchase soon.  To complete my weekend I went to church today.  I enjoyed the Black History program that our youth department performed.  It was very touching and also humorous at the same time.  For my look today, I wore a vintage Liz Claiborne's sports dress paired with a long wool jacket and mustard pumps.  I fell in love with this dress that day it caught my eyes at the thrift store.  It is so versatile and comfortable.  This is by far my favorite vintage piece.  I also added a print to add a little of my personality in this look.  It is my tribal print necklaces in which I made and will be available to purchase soon.  This denim dress is like an indigo color and this color does no justice in the photos.  I will definitely wear this dress again in the future.  Denim is a big trend for the upcoming season so I will change the look up a bit for the change in weather.  What is your favorite vintage piece of clothing?  Comment below!
