"Making a Major Statement: Monochromatic Mix"

I always get excited about Thursdays. It's almost the weekend and the perfect time for new style inspiration. Sometimes less is more. You can never go wrong with a clean and classic look.  I went for the universal colors of the fashion world. Yes, you guessed black and nude. The look started out as a monochromatic style pairing two different textures of fabric but same colors to break the monotones up. I added to the nude to balance the look.

Monochromatic looks do not necessarily involve bold and standout colors, in fact, if you want to do the opposite or if bold colors scare you, opt for nude monotones instead. For instance, for my ensemble I wore a see through jumper with a black fur skirt and to add color to my look I chose a sleek nude cape coat. This provided my look with more depth and also took my personal style up a level.

Simplistic clothing combinations can be just what is needed to make a statement. For example, take the monochromatic look. By choosing only black, white, and gray from your wardrobe, you can create some eye-catching outfits.

When dressing monochromatically, your outfit has one uninterrupted line from head to toe that elongates your silhouette and makes your frame appear slimmer and taller than you actually are. As a stylist and image consultant, I can’t think of anything better!
