This Christmas

This Christmas

Tis' the season to be happy and to love…

This year Christmas was pretty hard for me. I didn't have a job and didn't know how I was going to give my daughter the Christmas she deserved but God made a way for me to play Santa. A few weeks before Christmas I was asked to do an interview with Polyvore (helps you discover outfit ideas, style your own looks and shop products you love from the world's top brands and retailers. It's fashion inspiration you can buy!). I wasn't expecting anything after the interview but they awarded me with an Amazon gift card for $75. As a result, I was able to award my child with a tablet and a few toys. She wasn't really expecting Santa to bring her the items I purchased. I was also blessed with a male friend, who I care about a lot, to purchase toys for my child as well. This man didn't have to go out of his way for her and I truly appreciate having him in my life. He was able to help give my daughter the best Christmas ever. Seeing her face light up was literally the best feeling in the world. In the past, I have always been able to get my daughter everything but this year was the hardest because I didn't think I'd be able to do that. The only thing i wanted for Christmas was a nice planner for my businesses and my daughter to have the best Christmas and I got that and so much more.  The planner had everything from short to long term goals, a vision board, stickers and pages to be filled with information for what I needed to notate on paper. When I say I was in heaven because my friend was not only able to put a smile on my child's face but on mine too and I am forever grateful.  Sometimes we be so worried about how we are going to do things when in reality the smallest things is what people love the most. Sometimes we feel like we have to spend a lot of money and to get everything we want when in reality God already has a plan to give us everything we need. My child loves playing games and watching YouTube, so by her having this tablet she is able to do just that and of course I get to keep my phone lol. My mind runs 100 mph everyday with ideas and things I want to accomplish so this is the best gift I have ever received my 32 years of living because I'm able to write my plans down without forgetting. Being able to see a smile on my child's face is priceless and to see anything is possible no matter how bad you are struggling is motivation. I love talking about my struggles to y'all because sometimes we tend to look at others lives and think they have it all together and want to be like the next, when in reality people have a way of covering it up which is okay because you don't have to look like what you are going through. I know I may be struggling financially but spiritually and mentally I am rich (I will go into more details in my next post) and I want each of you to never let your struggles determine your destiny. Never allow your struggles to stop your happiness and affect the people around you. It's okay to not be able to do as much as you have done before for your family. As long as you have breath in your body, you will always have the potential to do better than you did yesterday and your family will always see your strength and love for them no matter how much money you have. It's all about what you make of it. That's the Naked Truth.
